The Hinch 18 Year Old Single Malt finished in Château de La Ligne casks is a delectable union of Dr Terry Cross' two passions. These casks have been emptied and refilled with fine Irish Single Malt whiskey aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels for 18 years. A six-month finishing time in these casks has resulted in the addition of rich new flavours.
Tasting Note:
A toffee, caramel, and dark chocolate undertone is absorbed by the palate, which is lifted by a backbone of sweet vanillins and freshly toasted oak. The wine finish is clearly represented by subtle hints of red apple, plum, and summer berries.
