Laphroaig PX Cask is a single malt whisky from one of the oldest distilleries on Islay. The whisky has been aged for an unspecified number of years in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, which lends it a rich and intense sweetness. The nose of this whisky is full of peat smoke, iodine, and sea salt, while the palate brings notes of dried fruits, chocolate, and a hint of espresso. Laphroaig PX Cask is a complex and well-balanced whisky, with a long, warming finish that will appeal to lovers of peated and sherried whiskies.
